Questions and answers
How does the water work?
A full tank is your daily screen-time goal. Time in the apps you picked drains it; a focus session refills it (60 minutes of focus fills the whole tank). The tank starts full again every midnight.
Why does the app need Screen Time access?
To count the time you spend in the apps you pick and to block them when your tank is empty or a focus session runs. Apple only gives the app anonymous tokens, so it never sees which apps you chose, and the data stays on your iPhone.
My apps aren't blocked, or the water doesn't go down.
Check that Screen Time is on (Settings › Screen Time), that Tish the Fish is allowed under Settings › Screen Time › Apps with Screen Time Access, and that you picked apps in the app's Settings › Apps that drain water. The water drops in steps of one minute of use.
How do I change my apps or my daily goal?
Tap the gear on the home screen. Apps can be changed whenever your tank isn't empty and no focus session is running. A new daily goal starts at midnight.
What happens if I unblock my apps early?
One of your fish dies, and the others get 25% water back. If it was your last fish, a new one arrives at midnight.
How do I get more fish?
Keep your tank above zero for seven days in a row and a new fish joins you, up to ten.
Can I use it on several devices?
Tish the Fish runs on iPhone. Your tank lives on the phone you set it up on and isn't synced.
How do I delete my data?
Delete the app. Your tank, fish and screen time are stored only on your iPhone, so that removes it all. If you allowed tracking, turn it off in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking; for what Meta already received, see the privacy policy.
